Article 22: Protection of Persons Detained Under Emergency Laws

When a person is detained by virtue of any such law as is referred to in section 21, the following provisions shall apply: the detainee shall be informed of the grounds of detention and be permitted to make representations; a tribunal shall review the detention within a reasonable time; the detainee shall be afforded reasonable facilities for consulting a legal representative.
