Article 16: Non-discrimination

Subject to the provisions of this section, government shall not treat any person in a discriminatory manner in respect of the rights under this Part of the Constitution.
In this section, discriminatory means affording different treatment to different persons attributable wholly or mainly to their respective descriptions by sex, race, colour, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, association with a national minority, property, birth or other status.
