Article 55: Special Responsibilities of Governor

The Governor shall be responsible for the conduct of any business of the Government of the Cayman Islands with respect to defence, external affairs (subject to the provisions of this Constitution), internal security (including the police), and the appointment, removal, discipline and terms and conditions of service of public officers.
