Article 58: National Security Council

There shall be a National Security Council which shall consist of the Governor as Chairman, the Premier, two other Ministers nominated by the Premier, a person nominated by the Leader of the Opposition, and two persons appointed by the Governor from civil society, together with, as ex officio members, the Deputy Governor, the Attorney General and the Commissioner of Police.
The National Security Council shall be responsible for advising the Governor on matters relating to internal security, but not on operational matters.

2020-11-18 - Amended by the Cayman Islands Constitution (Amendment) Order 2020 to change National Security Council provisions so that the Governor acts on Secretary of State instructions rather than personal discretion
