Article 62: Disqualifications for Elected Membership

A person shall not be qualified to be elected as a member of the Legislative Assembly if that person acknowledges allegiance to any foreign power or state, holds or is acting in any public office, is an undischarged bankrupt, is certified to be insane or otherwise adjudged to be of unsound mind, is under sentence of death or is serving a sentence of imprisonment exceeding twelve months, or holds any office connected with the conduct of elections.
