Article 64: Delay in Vacation of Seat to Allow for Appeal

Where an elected member of the Legislative Assembly is subject to any disqualification, the member shall immediately cease to perform his or her functions as a member but shall not be required to vacate his or her seat until the expiration of thirty days from the date of the disqualifying event.
The Governor may extend the period for an appeal.

Allows time for appeal before seat is vacated.
