Article 86: General Elections and Bye-Elections

A general election of members of the Legislative Assembly shall be held at such time within two months after every dissolution of the Assembly as the Governor shall appoint by proclamation.
Whenever a vacancy occurs in the seat of an elected member of the Legislative Assembly, a bye-election shall be held within two months.
